Gun Control
The Second Amendment is clear: Citizens have the right to bear arms and the government cannot and should not infringe on our guaranteed freedom to access fire arms as described in the Constitution. Families have an inherent right to protect themselves and many families have a long history of hunting and passing the knowledge of firearm use and safety from one generation to the next. The over whelming majority of Americans are responsible, law abiding, tempered owners and they should not have their rights trampled by politicians and special interest groups.
Health Care
All Americans deserve to have access to affordable health care. However, it is important that we adhere to our core, free market-based principles and allow the private sector to be the means for to our solutions. We cannot allow big, bloated, money wasting government to get involved in such a crucial, life or death decision. Patients must be allowed easy, unencumbered access to doctors. Government run health care would slow down the medicine and force many patients into a bureaucracy where health is second to politics.
Terror
America has no greater threat to its existence than Islamic fundamentalism. We must combat Terrorism and Islamo-Fascism wherever it exists, with the full force of our might, at the time and place of our choosing while fully supporting the men and women of the Armed Forces. As a Colonel in the Air Force reserve, I have seen firsthand the sacrifice that our soldiers and their families have given our nation. We must not waiver in the face of evil, we must remain strong and resolute, we must remain steadfast in the belief that freedom is our God given right and we must, above all else, commit ourselves to pursuing Terrorist forces until they are eradicated.
Judiciary
Justices and judges are meant to be impartial umpires of the law. Judges should be measured, limited and strictly interpret the law. Judicial Activism and judges who interject personal feelings and political view into their rulings and allow for the creation of public policy from the bench threatens the idea of a three branched government that empowers the Legislature to write the laws and the Judiciary to decide whether the law is being followed or not. I support strict Constructionist Judges that follow the written law and apply its principles in a responsible, limited way.
Economy
I am a firm supporter of free market, consumer driven capitalism. The American spirit and the ingenuity of her people have allowed the U.S.A. to become the envy and model for the entire world. We must continue to hold to our core beliefs that the best way for economic prosperity is through consumerism not government control, and recognize that the best way to sustain and grow our economy is by lowering taxes, decreasing government waste, eliminating pork barrel spending and funneling that money back to the American people. We must encourage new ideas and provide opportunities for business to be established and create a fair market system so that American companies can continue to compete on the global stage.
Values

As a Christian, I am a firm believer in the value of life, marriage and compassion. Abortion is the targeted killing of a defenseless class of humans and must not be allowed to continue. Roe vs. Wade was and continues to be a moral plague on our collective consciousness. The Catholic Church has taught me to know that marriage is a Sacrament between Man and Woman. I believe that compassion is not a political catch phrase but a way of life. We should support local charities, churches and other organizations whose goal is to work for better lives of others and that compassion is achieved through service towards one another and equal rights to all men and women.
Immigration
Immigration reform begins with the Borders. Our Border is porous and every day illegal immigrants, drug smugglers and others cross with impunity, causing increases in crime, drug use and putting a strain on an already taxed government. I support any measure that increases vigilance, security and man power along our borders. Secondly, we cannot allow for those who have come to America illegally to receive amnesty. Lawbreakers can’t be rewarded for their infractions. Businesses and people who knowingly support illegal immigrants must also be prosecuted. We are a nation with a long, rich history of immigration. I support anybody who comes to this country, legally, in search of the American Dream and hope that we continue to be a nation that attracts the best and brightest from across the globe. We cannot, however, allow people who have come to America illegally to jump ahead of those who have come here legally.
